Moving Up With Nick Monroe

For my money, it doesn't get much better than 24 year-old Nick Monroe. Nick is the quintessential definition of perseverance and willingness to change - all rolled into one. The progression in his game has been steep from a young age to where it is today, only 198 ranking spots shy of the top 100 ATP.

The former
North Carolina Tar Heel raced through a breakthrough year in 2006, capturing three ITF Futures Circuit titles: $10,000 ITF Futures in Costa Rica, $15,000 ITF Futures in Nigeria, and the $15,000 ITF Futures in India. After two years on tour, the NCAA All-American has reached a career-high of #288 ATP in singles and #235 ATP in doubles.
From a young age, Nick has always been a winner on the tennis court. He dominated the national scene in the 12s and 14s with his ultra-consistent, systematic style of play. Often times, he resorted to the slice on both the forehand and backhand side to outlast and out-maneuver his opponents. Impressive to say the least, Nick could devastate most top-ranked national juniors without coming over one groundstroke.
