Brown Goes Blue to Prolong Family Legacy

Jaedan Brown would have understood if the Michigan coaches didn’t fly down to Florida to watch her play just one match.
The Wolverines had just captured the Big Ten Tournament championship in Minneapolis, and were awaiting their selection into the NCAA Tournament.
Blue Chip Jaedan Brown Has Committed to Michigan

Nearly everyone already knew Brown was highly interested in Michigan. Her family has a deep legacy at the school. Her grandparents and parents attended Michigan, and her older sister and brother are currently students there.
But the day after the title celebration last April, Michigan head coach Ronni Bernstein was sitting courtside at the Delray Beach ITF.
“For them to come see me play meant a lot,” Brown said. “They didn’t just sit back and think they were going to have me. They really made sure they kept in touch with me and wanted to get to know me and my family. They were interested in me.”
Brown took her official visit to Michigan last weekend, getting a chance to meet the team, watch a practice and see the players go through a workout. Before leaving, Bernstein offered her a scholarship.
The blue chip junior from Granger, Indiana talked it over with her parents once she returned home, and committed the following day.
“I knew that no other school was going to impress me like Michigan did,” said Brown, who was also considering Notre Dame, Georgia and USC. “Every time I went on an unofficial at another school, Michigan was always in the back of my mind and I was always comparing it to Michigan. I knew if I was thinking about a school that much, I knew had to be there.”
