Anna Neyestani became familiar with College of Charleston and head coach Angelo Anastopoulo when she was in South Carolina participating in the national clay courts.

The five-star senior from Scottsdale, Arizona was interested in potentially joining the program, but Anastopoulo wasn’t sure about his scholarship situation. A few weeks ago, Neyestani heard from Anastopoulo with some good news.

“He said they possibly have an opening for Fall of 2023 and he thought of me first,” she said. “From there, it just kind of all worked out. I went on a visit a few weeks later and right when I got there I knew it was perfect for me.”
