The USTA announced the 10 American college players named to the 2021 USTA Collegiate Summer Team. Divided equally into five male and five female players, the training program was designed to help America’s best college players assimilate to professional tennis in a team-oriented environment.
The players selected were:
William Blumberg, North Carolina, Sr.
Sara Daavettila, North Carolina, Sr.
Abbey Forbes, UCLA, Soph.
Cannon Kingsley, Ohio State, Soph.
Aleks Kovacevic, Illinois, Sr.
John McNally, Ohio State, Sr.
Emma Navarro, Virginia, Fresh.
Alexa Noel, Iowa, Fresh.
Sam Riffice, Florida, Jr.
Peyton Stearns, Texas, Fresh.
**Virginia sophomore Natasha Subhash was eligible to compete, but will be unable to due to injury.
The players were selected based on their ATP or WTA singles ranking or a combination of their pro and ITA singles rankings and Universal Tennis Rating. Players on the team are eligible to receive a grant for travel to USTA Pro Circuit events and coaching support over four weeks this summer.
Tulane head coach Mark Booras and North Carolina State assistant coach Cris James will accompany the men during those weeks, while Texas associate head coach Taylor Fogelman and Minnesota assistant Meghan Kelly will accompany the women.
The full tournament schedule began last week in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Sumter, South Carolina, and will continue with these upcoming events:

providing high quality equipment at a great price point for junior
players we are continuously innovating to improve our players
experience with the sport and to help them accomplish their goals. We
give our athletes the "pro player treatment," to equip them with
