About Annette Broersma
Annette Broersma holds a Master of Science in Educational Counseling
from Calif. Lutheran University, and a Bachelor's degree from U.C.
Irvine where she played on the Women's Tennis Team. She has coached at
the high school and college level.
Broersma held the position of Athletic Counselor at Moorpark
Community College where she placed thousands of transferring athletes
into 4-year universities. She has spoken numerous times at the CA
Community College (CCCCA), and High School Counselor's (CSCA) annual
conferences.
As a member of Wilson Sporting Goods' Speaker Bureau, Broersma
helps athletes to find their 'fit' in college sports and academics.
She is the author of the "Wilson College Placement Workbook" which is
distributed at no cost to high school athletes.

Real World: Kean Feeder of Boise State
Kean Feeder played college tennis at Boise State - graduating in 2009.
After a brief stint at IBM, he returned to tennis as a coach. He moved
to California, where he coached at the Advantage Tennis Academy. He
found that teaching and helping develop tennis players was his great
passion. A year later, he moved back home to Oregon, where he became a
partner at The Leong Tennis Academy (LTA). He enjoys developing
juniors into great players.

The Community/Junior College Option
In light of the extensive publicity about the price of a college
education - some states have raised their tuition over 70% over the
past ten years - it is sad that more families do not consider local
community or junior colleges as a great option. Really, it is a great
option... not just the 'last choice' option.

juniors agonize over the choice of which 'master' to follow: the USTA
tournament schedule, or their high school schedule. Each has a set of
regulations to follow to be eligible for play/ranking, and sometimes
those rules and schedules conflict.
