One of the first schools to contact Dylan Jaen (WTN: 13.8) during the recruiting process was Boise State. Jaen didn’t know much about the school, but the Broncos began to stand out because of how much they kept in touch with Jaen.
Head coach Luke Shields eventually invited Jaen to visit the campus in Boise, Idaho.

“When I got there, I kind of fell in love with the school,” Jaen said. “I feel like everyone there was like family and they all treated me really well. At the airport before I even flew back home, I looked at my dad and told him that is where I want to be.”
The four-star senior committed to Boise State and made it official when the signing period opened last fall.
“I never thought I’d be going to school in Idaho, but I was open to anything,” said Jaen, who was born in Miami and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. “I was excited to start talking with them and it went really well obviously. My coach Derek (Porter) helped a lot. He knows Coach Luke from juniors and talked to him as well.”
