The top-seeded Poznick (Ann Arbor, Michigan) beat No. 2 Isha Manchala (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina) in the singles finals matchup 6-3, 6-4 at Lifetime Tennis.

The day before, Poznick teamed up for the first time with Ava Chua (Brooklyn, New York) as the fourth-seeded duo outlasted the No. 3 tandem of Capri Butera (Carnegie, Pennsylvania) and Alexandra Hu (Aurora, Illinois) 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the doubles championship match.

Poznick has won two Level 1 singles championships in a row, as she captured the USTA Clay Courts last month in Greensboro, North Carolina. She can now place three gold balls on her mantle at home in Ann Arbor.

“I kept the ball deep and did not let her attack,” said Poznick of the singles final against Manchala. “Winning the big points really helped. I have been able to sustain my level. I’ve been fighting really hard and not giving up on any balls.”
