Alabama Captures ITA National Wheelchair Title
Share:

After a one-year hiatus, Alabama is back on top of the college wheelchair tennis world.

The Crimson Tide defeated Iron Bowl rival Auburn 2-0 at the 2025 ITA National Wheelchair Championships on Sunday morning at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.

Alabama won seven straight national titles before Houston snapped the impressive streak last year. The Tide reclaimed their perch at the top in dominating fashion while denying Auburn of its first national title.

Alabama’s Francesco Felici and Martha Harris won the doubles match with an 8-1 victory over Auburn’s Jake Eastwood and Evan Heller. Felici, the 2023 US Open boys junior wheelchair finalist, clinched the national title for the Tide with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Gabe Puthoff at No. 1 singles.

In the semifinals, Alabama beat Arizona 2-0 while Auburn beat Michigan 2-0.
