Some parents uproot their families and move across the country to live near an academy where their kids can train.
For Nathan Han, it was merely a coincidence.

His father is a doctor, and was offered a job in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Han’s family left Kentucky, and bought a house located three minutes away from Tucker Tennis Academy.
“I just kind of started taking tennis lessons there and it turned out to be one of the best academies in the country,” Han said. “It was really lucky and kind of funny.”
Han won’t be straying very far for college either. The senior is signing with Oklahoma.
“I looked around quite a bit, but what really brought me to Oklahoma was representing my home state meant a lot to me and I also really liked the coaches,” Han said, referring to head coach Nick Crowell and assistant Nick Papac. “They do an unbelievable job with the team. Not only are they good tennis coaches, they are great guys off the court and two guys I really wanted to play for.”
