College Commitment Countdown: Ramos A Trojan for Another Four Years by Marc Lucero, 25 March 2008
Joining Coach Richard Gallien's Women of Troy this fall will be Alison Ramos. Ramos, of course, attended Troy High School in Fullerton, California. With this sort of coincidence did any other school really stand a chance?

"USC has always been my dream school," says Ramos. "USC has great athletics, strong academics, and a fun location."
A blue-chip recruit, Ramos was pursued by many of the top programs in the country. Heavy-weights like Georgia Tech and Arizona State were involved as early as recruiting rules allow, and the Ramblin' Wreck even put on the full-court press with newly-crowned NCAA champ Coach Shelton trekking cross-country to watch practice and make a home visit.
But the idea of playing in her own backyard was too much to resist. Ramos only lives about 20 to 30 minutes from the Southern California campus, and she truly values her roots.
"It was hard for me to leave LA," Ramos explained. "I love Los Angeles. I'm glad that I am close to all of my supporters."
With all of this working in favor of USC, Ramos was eager to pledge to be a Trojan.
