One of the top American tennis players in this year's senior class is Blue Chip prospect Elizabeth Plotkin (San Francisco, CA). But don't take my word for it - just take a look at her bio:

• Competed in all four junior grand slam tournaments in 2005.
  
• Quarterfinal appearances in 2005 in the US Open, Canadian Open, USTA Girls' 18 National Championships, Astrid Bowl, Easter Bowl, and USTA International Spring Championships.
  
• Currently the top ranked American senior girl in the ITF rankings (fifth among all US girls).
  
• Achieved a career-high top-30 ITF ranking.
  
• Achieved the #1 ranking on the TennisRecruiting.net Class Rankings List in both 2004 and 2005.
  
• Doubles highlights in 2005 with regular partner Jenni-Lee Heinser include a title at the Orange Bowl, second place finishes at both the USTA International Spring Championships and Easter Bowl, and a third-place finish at the Nationals.

Plotkin signed an LOI with Duke University during the fall signing period, and I talked with her about her decision.
