TennisRecruiting.net Star Ratings
by Dallas Oliver, 8 August 2005
Blue Chip? Or Five Star? You can find out right now with the TennisRecruiting.net Star Ratings for the 2004-05 season:
Congratulations to all the great young players on their Star Rating accolades!
About the Star Ratings
Each year, TennisRecruiting.net will award Star Rating accolades to the best players in each class. The very best players are tabbed as Blue Chips, and we also award 5 Star, 4 Star, 3 Star, 2 Star, and 1 Star accolades to top prospects.
These 2004-05 Star Ratings use the inaugural lists for player ratings. However, in future years, the Star Rating accolades will be awarded in October - and they will be based on all play through August 31 of that year. A fall date will allow us to include the national championship tournaments played in July and August - and the timing also works well with the fall collegiate signing period. So you can look forward to the 2005-06 Star Ratings this October.
What's Next?
Next week, we introduce the first installment of the Hot 100. The Hot 100 is a monthly list of one hundred players who are currently playing excellent tennis - and skyrocketing up the rankings! The complete calendar of TennisRecruiting.net launch milestones is shown here:
