Hello, my name is Anna Flynn, and I have been playing tennis since I was in elementary school. It was not until this past spring that I decided that I was really interested in playing college tennis. I have been playing tournaments regularly since I was in middle school. When I was a freshman at Salisbury High School, my team won the 2A State Championship, where I helped my team in the top 6. As a sophomore, I moved to Texas because my dad got a new job. There, I attended a 5A high school, Coppell High School, where I was in the top 6. School tennis took a lot of time, including weekends, and I was able to play only a few tournaments in Texas. For several reasons, we moved backed to North Carolina after a semester, and I started playing more tournaments in NC again. However, in October I had to move up to 18s, so I didn’t have as much time to improve my 16s ranking as I would have had. This past fall, I went back to Salisbury High School, where I helped my team win another 2A State Championship, playing top 3, and making it to the finals in Individual States for doubles. My 1-star ranking does not adequately reflect my skill level. My high school team is very competitive, I am involved in year-round training, and I am working hard now and this spring with a goal to become a 2-star. Thank you for your time.
