Post Season Highlights
- Furman earned a fourth consecutive automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2007. The trip marked Furman's eighth appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the last nine years.
- The Lady Paladins' last win in the NCAA Tourney came on May 11, 2002 when Furman dropped Louisiana State, 4-1.
Individual Achievements
- 2007 seniors Bonnie Baird, Jacqueline Eckert and Lisa Bornt-Davis made up a class that never lost a match to a conference opponent during their four years.
- Sophomore Laura Gioia was touted as 2007 SoCon Player of the Year for her outstanding season as the top singles and doubles player for Furman. She was also named league Player of the Week on three occasions and TIAA-CREF Student-Athlete of the Week twice. Gioia finished the season with a team-best 21 singles victories. A Lady Paladin has now taken home the SoCon's top player award for eight consecutive seasons.
- Jacqueline Eckert earned second-team all-conference honors in both singles and doubles, and was also the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award for her respectful and gracious demeanor on the court.
- A total of seven Lady Paladins were all-league selections in 2007: Gioia, Eckert, Baird, Bornt-Davis, Natasa Manojlovic, Lauren Osborne and Lauren Tomory. Osborne was also named SoCon Tournament MVP after clinching the title for Furman.
